Meet Me (Janet!)

I was employed full time as a physician when I started taking classes in fused glass at the Salem (Oregon) Art Association. When I established my studio in 2002, my initial focus was to bring beauty to the table. My sturdy, functional tableware and serving pieces are intended for everyday use. 

In 2007, retirement gave me time to add teaching, attending workshops, exhibiting at a local gallery, and participating in art festivals to my art practice. I still make functional art, but I’m also relishing the challenges of making larger pieces intended for display.

I established my Salem, Oregon studio in 2002 and have offered studio visits and classes ever since. 

Salem is a historic small city surrounded by fields, gardens, and vineyards. Located one hour from Pacific beaches and one hour from the Cascade Mountains, Salem is home to a vibrant artistic community.
